Managing Member 

Gugu Kheswa

Gugu graduated in 1988 with a Diploma in Personnel Management.  During her studies, her natural leadership skills were identified and she was appointed Vice President AISEC Local Projects Committee for a period of two years.  This team was responsible for organising educational tours for students to companies.

After completing her studies, Gugu started her working career at First National Bank in the Retail Division as a Bank Teller.  It was not long before she moved to the position of Customer Service Consultant, Investments and thereafter Home Loans Department.  Promotion to Card Division as a Sales Consultant responsible for signing new agreement installations and upgrading existing FNB Merchants speedpoints followed.  Again promotion to Wholesale Distribution Smartcard for the next three years working with SAB Credit and Sales Divisions in all SAB depots was her next venture.  Her leadership and managerial excellence was recognised and promotion to Solution Support Division overseeing 12 FNB branches was her next challenge.

In 2004 Gugu made the decision to leave FNB after 13 years and opened her own company, namely Phumalanga Communications trading as PMG Events and Promotions cc. 

With natural project management and leadership skills this provided Gugu with the confidence to embark in the very competitive industry of event and conference management as the sole member of the close corporation.  She was initially responsible for all aspects of the business – strategy, marketing, financial, operations etc.

The business rapidly grew from strength to strength becoming one of the most successful events and conference companies in KwaZulu-Natal and countrywide.
